Freak weather event rips through one of UK's most popular venues.
A tornado has ripped through the heart of one of the UK’s most popular day-ticket carp venues.

Tearing up trees and causing damage across the complex the ‘twister’ hit Oxfordshire’s Richworth Linear Fisheries earlier this week, wreaking havoc as it passed over part of the venue’s Brasenose 2 water. Part of the extreme weather conditions the country is experiencing at the moment luckily no anglers were hurt during the freak occurrence.

“It was quite a shock and took out several big trees,” Linear fishery office Chris Blunt told ACF. “It did some other damage around the site but fortunately nothing too terrible. We were quite luckily, there were anglers fishing just 200yards away from where it touched down and move passed Brasenose 2.”

An angler who witnessed the tornado while fishing at Linear told ACF it was both 'scary' but also 'pretty cool'.

The tornado destroyed several trees as it smashed through the fishery.
