Big Roach Pit mirror out at landmark weight for Sam Bascombe.
At 52lb 8oz, this cracking mirror is a new personal best for 26-year-old Dorset carper Sam Bascombe.
Fishing a 48hour session on Cemex’s Roach Pit, Sam finally fooled the mirror, known as The Horse, after three years of targeting the fish.
The specimen had obviously been making the most of the mild weather through autumn too, having piled on the weight to break the 50lb mark for the first time.
Falling for a CC Moore Live System boilie glugged in Feedstim XP fished at short range, The Horse was tamed using a size 6 Gardner Mugga hook on a 25lb Chod Skin hooklink and 12lb GR60 main line.
