Fish safety is paramount at Linear giving bailiffs no other choice but to ask anglers to leave.
Carpers putting fish safety in danger are 'chucked off' day ticket venue.
A number of anglers have been thrown out of one of the country’s top day ticket fisheries after being caught putting the safety of fish in danger.
Bailiff’s at the popular Linear Fisheries, Oxfordshire took the step after finding anglers leaving their rods unattended while they wandered around the complex.
In one instance an angler even got in his car and drove off to see if any pegs were free on other waters around the large fishery with his rods still baited and cast out.
“It’s amazing what some people will do,” Linear’s head bailiff Roy Parsons told Advanced Carp Fishing. “They just don’t think. What would happen if they got a run while they’re off at the other side of the complex? “We don’t usually get many cases of unattended rods, but over the last week we’ve had three anglers caught, with each one giving us no choice but to ask them to leave. And hopefully they won’t be back.”
