There was a time when rig tubing was king and everyone used it in some form.

However, the popularity of leadcore and the emergence of convenient fused leaders seemed to spark the demise of tubing’s popularity. This ACE version could be set to win back some fans, though. ACE has remedied the problem that saw people abandon tubing in the first place – ease of threading. You have to see the way that line flies through this new stuff to believe it. What could take a frustrating 10 minutes in the past, now takes seconds – even when the tubing is wet. It’s available in lo-viz, matt-finish silt, weed and gravel colours, which match the helicopter and lead-clip systems that ACE produces. There’s no doubting that anti-tangle tubing is the safest of all leaders and ACE looks to have given it a boost for 2009.
