Marc says: I’ve long been a fan of braided main lines and, where fishery rules allow, I use them for all of my fishing, largely due to the increased sensitivity of my bite indication. I’ve tried most of them, if not all, and have settled on PowerPro as my favourite, my choice being the 9kg-breaking-strain version (20lb). The round profile makes it a great casting line, while it maintains a decent abrasion resistance throughout. Wear a fingerstall, though, and be very careful when feathering your cast!
