Stripping the old line from your reels can be a real pain, especially when you have three or more big-pit-style reels holding in excess of 500 yards each!

There have been various attempts to find an easy way of doing this, to varying degrees of success. Innovative tackle company ACE has come up with a handy tool that makes this process a doddle. This consists of a plastic spool that can be attached to any drill. Simply tie on the line and away you go. The faster the drill, the faster the process of removing the line is. Best of all, once you are done the end cap unclips and you can slip off the ready-coiled line. It can then be easily cut with a pair of scissors and safely disposed of.
