We have reached that time of the year when the dreaded biting insects come out in force and cause discomfort and misery to anglers. Other forms of repellent are available but these all have drawbacks. There are devices that emit a high-pitched whine but these become extremely annoying after a short time. This portable device works by heating a cartridge and releasing an active ingredient as a vapour that repels biting insects.
