Echo Joins Forces with Crimestoppers - 15/06/2010
The English Carp Heritage Organisation (ECHO) has joined forces with Crimestoppers to smash the illegal import of carp.
It’ll also be working hard to clamp down on the theft of fishing tackle. The new initiative is in response to the rising incidence of organised fish smuggling. Anyone with information about either illegal fish importation or tackle theft can call Crimstoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit www.crimestoppers-uk.org to pass on information.
Richard Stewart says: “This is a great chance for the angling community to pull together and squeeze these criminals out of our sport.”
