New shop opens doors to anglers - 01/07/2009
After being bought by Norwich-based tackle shop chain Angling Direct, a well-known tackle shop has undergone a change of premises and facelift.
Simpson’s Of Turnford, in Waltham Cross, Herts, now boasts a massive 12,000 sq ft showroom packed with all of the latest innovations in tackle and bait. The new shop will be open seven days per week. What’s more, a bumper opening weekend on July 4th and 5th will see many of the tackle giants of the industry along to the new premises for a special celebration. Nash, Fox, Korda, Kryston, Shimano, Daiwa, Preston Innovations and Trakker will all be represented, with the big names in attendance including Danny Fairbrass, Kevin Nash, Cliff Fox, Damian Clark, Ian Macmillan and Jan Porter.
As well as the carp boys, match anglers will be well catered for, with Tommy Pickering, Will Raison, Mark Pollard and Andy Findlay among the stars present. There will be lots of special offers on the day, including goody bags from participating manufacturers when you spend £10 on their products in the shop. Rig and bait demonstrations and much more will be going on throughout, so we reckon it is well worth getting down to check it out.
If you’re there on the Saturday why not come along and say hello also to TC editor Marc Coulson. Call 01992 468799 for more details and directions.
